Day Off

I took the day off yesterday to 1) get family photos for the baby announcement and holiday cards and 2) more importantly, just to re-connect with the little dudes. We went to Child's Play for the morning. Then we picked up Dad from the water district and headed over to Grandma Sandeen's to use her backyard as our "back drop". They turned out fantastic. I love them. I think that has confirmed that I am doing framed photos for Christmas presents this year. Can't wait to share them. Now back to work.

Halloween Wrap Up

Our first trick or treat went off with out a hitch. So fun. That little candy corn. I think I have a candy hang over.

Looking forward to this weekend. We get two nights out and while we are working, still nice to get dressed up and get out of the house. We are also going to transition Miller into his big boy room and Hudson into the nursery. Reclaiming our room.....now just to get rid of Reebar and Bones (not likely).

Sharing Teddy Grahams & Found Keys

First off, I lost these keys almost a year ago and I was so bummed because it had the only remote lock/unlock thingy (I don't know what it is called). So, I have been struggling for a year with bags and kids and the actual key to unlock the car. There was even that ugly episode at Costco and locking Miller strapped in his car seat and my keys in the car--which I completely blame Adam Probolsky for. What luck that Phil was literally driving by when I did it? Thrilled to have this set of keys back.

Miller played with Hudson under the baby gym this afternoon. He still requires tons of supervison with him or he can get a little rough, but so cute to see that he enjoys entertaining him....and sharing the Teddy Grahams! Love it!!

It's Fall!

Signs that fall is in full swing:
  • Pumpkin patch is full of young visitors
  • Sweaters and sweatshirts are thrown on the hall tree
  • Shorter days
  • Full vines driving through wine country
  • Beef stew in the crockpot and apples purchased for an apple betty

Happy Sunday

We had a mellow Sunday here today. After church, we went to lunch at Ruby's. A steady stream of goldfish and raisins keeps Miller happy until his food arrives.

The best part of the day was the 2 hour nap we got--everyone slept!! It was nice to rest and not have to impose my kids on anyone. Post nap, Phil and Miller did some yard work and Hudson and I did a little kitchen clean up.

Tomorrow is a holiday. Phil and I are going to try to get some side projects completed and some bills paid (I noticed some landed in my in box when i wasn't looking). Also, I need to launch an event that is scheduled for Nov. 15th. I need to get invites mocked up and ready for the mail.

I am thinking of coming back

I miss this. It is a good way to document the everyday things. I am thinking of coming back. Just contemplating, that is all.
